I love how Mattel designed the wave to cater to fans who want to see good guys with their archenemies. Gentleman Ghost is a longtime villain of Hawkman and Hawkgirl, so it's appropriate to see him here with Hawkgirl, who's headlining the wave.

He's not the biggest deal for me as a character, but the Four Horsemen knocked him out of the park! That, and he also has figures in JLU and the Brave and the Bold. So if you are a fan of his, you got monster hooked up!

I'm a Twin

Yeah a lot of people seem surprised at work about this, much more than I thought. This is a huge "duh" to other people, but.... yes, I'm a twin. I have lots of twin friends. Two of my best twin friends, Gary & Larry Lane named my blog. I call it "Augie reflects" because my brother is my mirror twin, and this blog is to post about things I'm reflecting on, so blah blah, you get it. Being a twin has it's ups and downs, but way more ups. he's my best friend, and hopefully financial backer (HA!) Just kidding. Man, I need to win the lottery.

Oh and for those keeping score, I'm the one in the Batman shirt. Do we look alike? I don't think so, but people confuse the crap out of us. Now Gary & Larry? I still get confused.

He's in LA this week, and I'm flying back to CT next week. Good times! I can't wait to see my brother, mom and dad. I miss them a lot.

Commander Steel. At first I couldn't tell if this guy was from JSA, but apparently that's someone else, in a virtually identical outfit, and that this is the guy from the All-Star Squadron. I don't know much about him. This guy is a shout-out to older DC Comics fans. It's good to see them get represented in this line. You can give harsh criticism of Mattel in some areas, but character selection is not one of them. His action figure isn't completely accurate, but it's ok. Maybe it's closer to the Citizen Steel from JSA. I really need to start reading that book. It looks amazing and I always hear such great things.

This guy is basically DC's answer to Punisher. It seems there a lot of Marvel and DC swapping ideas. They always seem to have an analogous character from each company. Blue Beetle is Spider-Man. Batwoman is Spider-Woman. Black Adam is Dr. Doom. But, uhhh, different. His design is actually kind of 80s cool. He had a mask like Snake Eyes, and the obligatory nunchucks. But he was badass good guy. He got his own series out of his Teen Titans debut and at the end of his book I believe he killed himself. And Lobo was a worse model? Enjoy your figure children!

Kelsey, I don't remember if you like this picture. I do, so don't kill me for putting this here.

Part of my blog is to give shout-outs to important people - those who were there for me when I asked them to be there, and especially those who were there when I didn't ask. Kelsey is one of those. She's only 21 and she's seen so much is her life. She's probably ten times more mature than I am, and yet she incredibly childlike. She's been burdened so much and I've only seen that kind of strength she has in one other woman; my own mom.

Speaking of, she recently lost her mom. It's hard to lose a parent. She's just the nicest girl and she's going to bounce back from this, just like she's come back fighting from everything else, and I'm proud to say she's my friend (and my inaugural friend entry).

So for both of you reading my blog LOL, throw some prayers and positive energy Kelsey's way. I'm sure she'll take money, too. We're all so broke. :-)

This isn't an April Fools joke. We are actually get figures of them at San Diego! I've only wanted action figures of them since I was 4-years-old watching Super Friends and collecting the Super Powers action figures. I am beyond excited. I feel bad for those who want DCUC to be a comic book only line, but these are exclusives so they can skip them this round. This is beyond awesome. The idea that I will have Wonder Twins toys (and GOOD ones too) is so neat! Let's hope Mattel doesn't mess them up in the factory. Fingers and toes crossed.

Wave 8 is supposedly heading our way really soon. Here is the headliner of the wave - HAWKWOMAN! (Hawkgirl on packaging I think)

Two years ago I suffered an injury at the gym. It seems I re-aggravated it. Last time this happened I couldn't work out for 4 months, and sleeping was hell. This sucks. I was working so hard too. I guess it's time to start yoga. I'm really upset about this. Timing is awful. I don't have insurance and I've been feeling so good lately. Arrrrrgh!

Happy Birthday, Tony!

Today is Tony Cusumano's birthday! Happy thoughts and good energy his way. To my friends in CT who don't know him, he was my lifesaver and best friend when I moved to LA. Happy birthday, Tony!

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

I was waiting to cut my hair until next month (it's been almost a year!), but I got sick of maintaining. I'm getting in much better shape, been eating healthier, and this just fit in with all of the personal changes I've been making. What's old becomes new again. I like it. It's something. I'll probably need new headshots. It never ends. :oD

R.I.P. Andrew Martin

Wow, I just got home from work, when I read some wrestlers' facebook/myspace accounts are reporting Test was found dead in his Tampa home. Really sad news. Not the greatest wrestler by any means, but he was only 33! That's wayyyyyy too young for anyone to die. Another dead pro wrestler. My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends. Really sad.

Yeah I'm sick. But literally. I went to google an image for "Sick" and this image came up, and I felt it was wrong in a "" kind of way, so I figured I may as well put it here. People will laugh. I was a HUGE Chris Benoit fan though.

Anyhoo, it stinks being sick and working sick with no insurance. Damn sore throat. Maybe if I was Canadian, I'd be better by now. So Chris Benoit could actually laugh at my predicament, if he wasn't, y'know... dead.

Poor Benoit family. Poor me being sick. On the good side oif things, I worked for about 45 minutes in my house the other day and made 100 bucks! Not only that, but I have an opportunity to make ANOTHER 100 bucks! My poor ass is dancing (sick).

* HI *

Image Hosted by

Welcome to my blog. I hope this is the beginning of something good. This isn't my first one. I have one on myspace, but I haven't used it in a while, and I thought this is healthy for me. It's like backyard wrestling and then you decide to go to a school. I've wanted a place to display my creativity and my nitpickiness about comic books, wrestling, and action figures, as well as talk about my acting career and my life in Los Angeles in general. A lot of my friends back home wonder what the hell happened to me since I moved away and now they can keep up.

This blog is very unfocused. Sometimes, I'll get profound (or my version of it), and I'll post something more personal. Other times, an action figure will rear their plastic heads and I'll be all like, "Why is Teela's ass so flat? Will she have red boots?" So ... yeah. This blog is mostly for me, but public enough for all of you. So I hope you enjoy it. Maybe I'll stick around, or maybe this blog will be dead in a week. I have no clue. So join me. Or not.
